News on the Band Room; Football Game Marching

The following information is being shared per the request of Patrick Hull, the interim band teacher, and Kathy Mehls, one of the school counselors.

Regarding the physical changes in the band room, these are being made at the request of C. The room is being repainted and it was necessary to remove items from it. According to Patrick, this information was shared by him with his classes before the work began. He and C are having lengthy discussions concerning the music program. (Personal observation from Jon - the fact that C can focus on moving forward with the music program is a great sign.)

Some of C's personal and school items that are being removed are being brought to him in order to help him with his recovery. Those items that belonged to G are being returned to his family.

It is C's strong wish that the marching season be ended now in order that the bands may concentrate on the holiday season concert which is six weeks away. Apparently, C's views on this subject are different than those of G's, who was willing to let the band march longer this year because of the nature of the show.
