On Monday, December 12, 2005, the Chi-Hi Bands
held their annual holiday concert in the school auditorium
in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
This was not a normal concert -- it was the first regular band concert since the marching band bus tragedy two months ago. Parents, students, and fans were also thrilled to hear a short speech by Brian Collicott , the surviving director who is still recovering from critical injuries. His wife Jennifer wheeled him to the front of the auditorium, where Brian stood up (with some help) and grabbed a microphone to address the packed room. He was greeted with a standing ovation. The band also received a standing ovation for the debut of a new song in honor of Doug Greenhalgh, called Remembrance . |

I took some digital photos with my FZ20 that I put on the web for your viewing pleasure. Click a small to get a medium-sized one and use arrows to go forward or back; click on a medium to get a large 1600x1200 version. (Sorry I couldn't get more closeups...there are only so many faces you can see when the band kids are all sitting on a stage!)
Enjoy,
